Atlanta visit, Georgia Aquarium
[This article has photos]
Last weekend I drove down to Atlanta. Met Anand, did shopping & the best part visited the world’s largest aquarium!

This is the first time that I went for a long drive in US driving alone. Driving on the interstate in US is quite cool. But, as I was approaching Atlanta I didn’t know what was coming. The interstate road was mostly 3 lane at most places. As, I approached Atlanta the number of lanes started increasing and the number of vehicles started multiplying! From 3 lane road to 8 lane I reached in no time. When Atlanta was some 20 miles away I suddenly saw myself drving on a 8 lane road with lots of vehicles around me. Even though the speed limit there was 55 miles/hour nobody was driving below 70 miles/hour. My heart beats picked up great speed. For a moment, I thought that I am not going to survive. & the worst part was that there was no way for me to stop there! I was on a middle lane & changing lanes was looking impossible there. Car were swiching lanes at great speed even with very less space available. It was like a video game! But, I held my calm and started learning how to switch lanes & finally I took my exit without missing it. Within Atlanta the traffic was quite slow & could find my way with Anand helping me on phone.

Met Anand after a real long time. Hadn’t seen him after the college days. We spent the whole evening driving in Atlanta looking for a shopping mall which we could never find. In the night we went to an area known as Buckhead. This area has got more than 100 night clubs! Went to a famous night club here called Tounge & Groove. The crowd here was amazing. It was mostly a young crowd with most of the people in their twenties. There were lots of hot babes dancing around. We danced here till late night! The most unbelievable part was that Anand danced with a female there!
Next day we found drove down to Lenox shopping mall. We had not been able to find it the previous day. Did some shopping there. Visited an Apple store there. I just fell in love with iPod.
Afternoon we visited the Georgia Aquarium which happens to be the wold’s largest aquarium. It was built with a cost of more than $200 million, it has got over 8 million gallons of water with more than 100,000 animals representing more than 500 species from around the globe. It’s an amazing, wonderful & a dream like place. It’s a must visit place for everyone to whom Atlanta is accessible. It had many different sections. In the section called Ocean Voyager, I felt as if I was walking through the ocean. I saw various varieties of fishes (very very colourfule), dolphins, sea loins & many many species. I even saw the deadly Piranha fishes here! I cannont describe this place in words, but I have taken couple of great photographs here which should help you understand how wonderful this place is. Do visit my photo album on Flickr. This is the best set of photos I have taken till now.
I am finding very difficult to find people to travel around with me. So, I am travelling alone. I am spending huge money on hiring good cars on weekends. As such I believe "Paisa to haath ka meil hota hain!".
