Deccan Herald has featured my
photographs of Kukkarahalli Lake. Check out “Your Space” at the
bottom of the home page of www.deccanherald.com
(It sits there as of today July 09
2008).
When I was in India on my looooong vacation in 2007/2008 I decided
to capture the beauty of the Kukkarahalli Lake of Mysore on my Canon
Rebel XT. Most of the Mysoreans whom I showed the photos fail to
recognize that it is Kukkarahalli Lake. Not many have really
seen the beauty of this beautiful lake which is actually located at
the heart of Mysore city which is just another example of what
an amazing place Mysore is for living.
If you live in Mysore I would really suggest that you should be
going for a walk or for a run around the beautifully made 4 KM track
around the Kukkarahalli Lake. The best time would be early morning 6.
I took these photographs at early morning during sunrise.

This is the house which I recently bought in Jayalakshmipuram, Mysore.

Its an old house & not very modern. I bought it mainly for its location (its one of the best locations in Mysore) & the site dimension (80 feet x 40 feet ). If I happen to shift my base to Mysore in future (might be in another 10 years) I will either do some alteration work on this house or build a new house on this site.
My house is located very near (less than 1 KM towards North West) to the famous Kukkarahalli Lake of Mysore. Click here to see Kukkarahalli Lake on Google Earth. Kukkarahalli_Lake_Mysore.kmz
I would any time prefer to live in a house which is independent & has got good space for gardening than to apartments. People from other cities(esp. from Bangalore) appreciate houses in Mysore because they have lot of space for gardening. (This is an old house having gardening space in the back of the house unlike the modern houses which have garden in front of the house).

I had a great weekend this time. When the weekend started I had no idea what was in store for me!
It looked like the continuous rain which has hit Bangalore badly this year has finally stopped. So, I decided that this weekend I am going to Mysore on Bike instead of train (which I started using after the rainy season started).
Saturday morning I got up early & the weather was looking great. I zoomed towards Mysore on my RX. On the way to Mysore I it suddenly occurred to me that it has been quite sometime that my old friend Natraj got posted to Gundlupet near Mysore. He has been inviting me to Gundlupet from the time he got posted there. This time I decided that I am going to give him a visit. After a short halt in Mysore, I went to Gundlupet on my bike.
