Photography is best learned in a real situation, with small groups and with subject matter.

This is a workshop for young photographers to capture a day in the life of Thalgatpura outside Bangalore.

This workshop will help the participants broaden their perspective on visual art and enhance their personal vision by going into an unfamiliar territory.

The photographers will go out to the village in groups to capture images of the day in the life of Thalgatpura and have them critiqued with the rest at the end of each day. The subject of each image will be further explored out of the normal context. Technical aspects of the image will be covered briefly.

Desired intention of this workshop -

* Learning to see.

* To better understand how to convey your story through the composition of chosen images.

* Through group sharing and criticism you will visually experiment on the subject, be able to make extra-ordinary images and enjoy them.

* To break away from the normal school structure so that they can develop their own stories instead of their teachers’ stories.

* To be able to shoot an image using the method in the way you want to see it and not the way others want to see it.
